Autumn Porter is a non-binary artist whose work focuses on how they look at themselves and the expression of their gender identity. They are interested in the way time impacts the world, thinking specifically about the cadence of things changing. The idea of time acts as the locus of their observations on how both the mind and the body are always in flux. Much of their work focuses on the catalysts of their change and connections to their family.
The creation of art becomes a means of self-expression and self-understanding, and through this art they create a deeper connection with their inner self. Autumn’s photographs are a space for them to express their inner feelings and emotions to themselves and the viewer, creating a larger dialogue for all who wish to listen.
